Umme Maria

Umme Maria is an animation enthusiast who has worked as an 2D animator for various projects including Ninja Turtles, Home, Cyanide and Happiness, and more. She pursued her Masters from A J K Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, specializing in Animation and VFX. The medium of animation has always been a keen interest of hers which made her pursue research in this field and simultaneously share her interest and enthusiasm for animation with upcoming generations of filmmakers and animators. She has taught as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis International University (Pune), Amity University (Noida), has been a guest faculty at GGSIPU, and has designed graduate and undergraduate programmes for School of Journalism and Mass Communication (Patna). She has taught a variety of courses such as Animation, Film Making, Journalism, Culture and Communication, Critical Thinking, Literary Theories, Cinema Techniques, and English Literature, and has a keen interest in experimental animation. She also has experience in corporate, managing Marketing teams including graphics, SEO, and PR.
